Lawn Maintenance

Please note that our contractors Sports Turf Services call every second Monday to carry out maintenance of the lawn

On the first Monday of every month they will call at 10am and this visit is usually to scarify, feed or spike the green

Once this has been done, the lawn is cut, therefore there will be no play before noon

On the third Monday of the month the contractor arrives about 7.30am and the green is cut after that and available for play from 10am

Members should remember that the lawn is cut by three volunteers who have to fit the cutting in with their own busy life schedule

We will endeavour to cut it first thing in the morning but this may not always be possible so if you turn up for a bounce game in the afternoon and someone is cutting the lawn, please be patient and don’t loose the rag

Champion of Champions 2012

Our Club Champion Jim Reid won his second game of this competition at Garrowhill on Sunday 6th May, defeating Motherwell Bowling Club Champion and now goes on to play in round 2 at Orbiston on Sunday 13th May at 6.30pm

are on display on the bowls house notice board and the draws will be made

after the second Monday rink night

Fees for Season 2012

At the AGM it was agreed that the fees for season 2012 will be £100

Don’t panic all you tight people, you will actually be better off despite the tenner inrease because Monday rink nights are now free
